Density

Is the quantity of mass per unit volume of a non-porous solid.
Example: The density of the material prevents it from floating.

Is the distance downwards from its top surface, or between its upper and lower surfaces.
Example: The river's depth in this spot is over one hundred meters.

Extrusion
noun
Is a part or length of material formed by pushing a material through a die with a particular cross-section.
Example: This showed that the load was decreased a lot and the self-lubricating solid coating facilitates a smooth extrusion process.

Heat sink
noun
Is a metal plate that is specially designed to conduct and radiate heat away from an electrical component.
Example: The metal heat sink ensures good heat dispersal and allows a low hot-spot temperature.

Isotropic
adjective
Having a physical property which has the same value when measured in different directions.
Example: Most probes are isotropic, or unidirectional, to measure the energy from all directions.

Specific heat

Is the number of calories required to raise the temperature of 1 gram of a substance 1 °C, or the number of BTUs per pound per degree °F.
Example: The fastest reaction is obtained from a medium having high specific heat and high thermal conductivity.
